- Early declares and early college breakouts get more durable priors.
- Landing spot matters most when the path to year-one snaps is clear.
- Comps are useful when they explain range of outcomes, not when they create hype.
How To Convert Rankings Into Draft Decisions
The board is strongest when you use it with tier discipline. Trade down inside a flat tier, trade up only when the next player owns a different value profile, and avoid drafting for a one-week roster need.
- Use tiers to identify when picks are interchangeable.
- Prioritize insulated profiles in the first round.
- Take asymmetric upside once starter odds fall off.
